About The Position

PTI is hiring part-time Crew Transport Drivers in Selma, North Carolina, to transport railroad crew members between rail yards, hotels, and other destinations. Drivers use a company-provided passenger vehicle, with fuel provided during trips. The role includes trips of varying lengths and timing and offers paid training; professional driving experience and a commercial driver’s license are not required. Drivers return home after their work is complete. The listed starting pay is $14.00–$15.00 per hour.

Candidates must be able to reach the branch location within 30 minutes to support on-time service. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Have at least 3 years of personal or work-related driving experience.
• Pass a post-offer drug screening, motor vehicle record (MVR) check, and homeland security background check.
• Be able to arrive at the branch location within 30 minutes.
• Put safety first and be dependable, alert, and comfortable behind the wheel.
• Enjoy meeting and helping people, communicate clearly and professionally, and be able to work independently while remaining connected to the team.
• Take pride in providing reliable service.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and transport railroad crew members.
• Provide passengers with a safe, comfortable, and professional experience.
• Communicate with the PTI Command Center.
• Help keep trips moving efficiently and on time.
• Open and close vehicle doors and hatches for passengers.
• Inspect the vehicle and report any concerns.
