About The Position

AMR is hiring full-time Ambulance Operators to respond to emergency and non-emergency transportation requests. Operators transport patients to and from facilities while delivering high-quality care, treatment, and customer service. They use maps, addresses, communication systems, and transportation equipment to provide timely service, maintain safe and clean vehicles, document trip details, and comply with company policies, confidentiality requirements, and patient rights. The role involves collaborating professionally with patients, allied health and public safety personnel, fellow drivers, and the operations team.

Requirements

State driver’s license.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Driving record in compliance with company policy.
Pass the Physical Agility Test.
Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

CPR card (preferred).

Responsibilities

Respond to operational and dispatch requests for emergency and non-emergency transportation.
Use necessary tools, maps, and addresses to transport customers to and from facilities in a timely manner.
Clearly document trip information and follow company policies and procedures while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment for patients.
Complete the regular mechanical checklist at the start of shifts and report vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager as needed.
Use appropriate communication methods, including standard radio transmission codes, to respond to and route patients effectively.
Comply with company information security standards.
Operate transportation equipment, including stretchers, hydraulic lifts, and wheelchairs.
Use personal protective equipment and manage disposal of supplies as necessary.
Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, fellow drivers, and the operations team.
