Driver (Substance Abuse Treatment Full Time)
About The Position
Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a dependable and compassionate Driver for its Concord, North Carolina location. The Driver provides safe, professional transportation for clients receiving behavioral health and substance use treatment, while helping maintain a supportive and welcoming environment within the facility. The role involves transporting clients to appointments, treatment-related destinations, and designated regional locations; ensuring their safety and comfort; and maintaining transportation records. When transportation duties are complete, the Driver assists with light housekeeping and facility support. The position is full-time, scheduled from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with some weekends required. The listed pay is $15.00–$16.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Excellent judgment, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced behavioral healthcare environment.
- Willingness to complete all required company training.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Previous professional driving, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport clients to and from appointments, treatment-related destinations, and designated regional locations in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
- Ensure client safety, comfort, and appropriate conduct during transportation.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs and documentation.
- Respond calmly and appropriately to emergency or unexpected situations.
- Assist with light housekeeping and facility support duties when transportation responsibilities are complete.
- Manage routes, schedules, and responsibilities efficiently while working independently.
- Safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support daily facility operations.
