About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Driver – Hospital Tripper to work at its program in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. The role operates facility vehicles to transport individuals to and from medical appointments, trips, program centers, and residences. No experience is required, and paid training is provided. The position pays $18.00 per hour with selection of the Enhanced Pay Option.

Staff follow a designated routine and assignments provided by the HSS/AHSS. They escort residents in Merakey/Allegheny Valley School vehicles or emergency vehicles to doctors’ offices, health centers, or emergency rooms. This is a non-professional motor-vehicle operation position.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Follow routines and assignments as outlined by the HSS/AHSS.
• Escort residents in facility or emergency vehicles to doctors’ offices, health centers, and emergency rooms.
• Ensure safe transportation by securing wheelchairs and individuals in vehicles and supervising them during transport.
• Develop and maintain professional rapport with personnel at doctors’ offices, clinics, and hospitals.
• Transport individuals to and from medical appointments, trips, program centers, and residences as designated.
