This role involves driving a catering delivery truck, delivering food items, performing catering setups and tear-downs, and interacting with clients. Requirements

Must possess a valid Driver’s License without restrictions.
Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
Must be able to follow timelines to complete assigned tasks.
Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 50lbs.
Must be able to perform duties on a truck with a tail gate lift, moving food carts and hot food containers in all weather conditions.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Driving the catering delivery truck to assigned areas and delivering food items (hot and cold food items, hot and cold beverages).
Moving heavy items, with the capability of lifting/carrying 50lbs.
Doing catering setups and tear-downs (setting buffets and place settings).
Dealing with clients, acting as a front-line customer service representative.
Following a schedule and adhering to strict timelines.
Completing all assigned tasks in a timely fashion.
Communicating with direct managers and supervisors in a timely manner while out on deliveries.
Following Provincial, STFX, and Sodexo vehicle safety policies.
Performing daily vehicle inspections and reporting issues with catering vehicles to the manager.
Driving a company vehicle to transport staff, visitors, or customers, as well as merchandise or equipment.
Delivering, loading, and unloading products, food, or equipment.
Storing or setting up delivered items.
Maintaining driver logs and submitting billing forms to designated representatives.
Collecting receipts.
Monitoring the appearance, operation, maintenance, and repairs of the vehicle.
