Additional duties include sealing trailers, starting and setting reefer units, checking trucks and drivers in and out, organizing shipping/receiving documents, performing yard checks, and occasionally handling freight manually or with equipment like a forklift or hand truck. The role also involves efficiently sorting, loading, and unloading palletized and non-palletized freight, securing freight within trailers, and using mobile handheld devices for shipment tracking. Safety adherence and company policies are paramount.
