About The Position

ER2 partners with organizations ranging from growing businesses to some of the world's largest enterprises, providing technology deployment, equipment management, and zero-waste IT disposal solutions. We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. This role involves performing onsite client pickups of decommissioned IT equipment, ensuring secure handling and transport in accordance with company and industry data security standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates a commitment to safe driving practices, excellent customer service, and reliable schedule management. Prior experience in logistics or ITAD services is a plus, but not required. This position has various responsibilities; driving, loading & unloading, managing inventory, general warehouse duties, and processing (sorting) electronics. The perfect fit will be someone adaptable, who loves being a team player.

Requirements

  • Willing and able to travel, including solo travel when needed.
  • Comfortable driving a 26-foot box truck.
  • Hands-on and willing to tackle physical work.
  • Proficient with computers, including Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Customer-focused with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented and willing to jump in wherever needed.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable, dependable, and consistent.
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
  • Adaptable and resourceful problem-solver.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must have and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • The ability to speak/read English fluently.
  • Clean criminal record.
  • Must pass a drug screen upon hire.
  • Overnight travel is required and may be up to 50% of the time, depending on routes and assignments.
  • Must possess a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (Medical Card) or be willing to obtain one after accepting an offer of employment and prior to start date.
  • Excellent driving and navigation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in logistics or ITAD services.
  • Experience driving larger vehicles is a definite plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performing onsite client pickups of decommissioned IT equipment.
  • Ensuring secure handling and transport in accordance with company and industry data security standards.
  • Following assigned pickup and delivery routes.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service during client interactions.
  • Safely loading, transporting, and unloading equipment and materials.
  • Maintaining regular communication with clients, partners, and team members via phone and email.
  • Completing vehicle inspections and maintaining required documentation.
  • Researching and evaluating the resale value of incoming electronic equipment.
  • Sorting and processing materials according to company procedures.
  • Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, power lifts, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of vehicles, equipment, tools, and work areas.
  • Supporting cross-functional teams and assisting with departmental needs as required.
  • Utilizing company systems and communication tools to coordinate work and share information.
