About The Position

The Driver Warehouse Associate represents Baker Distributing and contributes to company operations and customer satisfaction. The role involves safely and efficiently delivering HVAC products and materials from wholesale HVAC distributorships to customers, vendors, or other Sales Center locations while providing professional customer service. Between deliveries, the employee helps maintain and operate the warehouse.

The position includes loading and unloading products, completing delivery documentation, assisting with inventory and order fulfillment, and maintaining truck and workspace safety. The employee follows company safety procedures, uses required personal protective equipment, reports hazards or incidents, and handles products and equipment safely. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 1 year of truck driving experience.
• Box truck delivery experience.
• A valid DOT medical certificate is required prior to employment.
• Ability to meet DOT physical qualification standards, with reasonable accommodations.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service, problem-solving, and relationship-building.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; reasonable accommodations may be provided.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools; assistive technologies may be used.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical aptitude and ability to analyze and interpret data.

• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Represent Baker Distributing Company as a leader in the industry.
• Load and unload products daily for delivery to customers or other Sales Centers.
• Collect invoices with the proper signatures and return them to the Sales Center Manager.
• Assist with warehouse inventory counts, picking, and verifying orders.
• Complete the daily truck maintenance checklist and report in/out times and merchandise returns.
• Follow company safety protocols and procedures, use required personal protective equipment, and promptly report hazards or incidents to management.
• Participate in regular safety training sessions and drills.
• Handle and store products properly to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Follow safety guidelines when operating the truck and warehouse equipment.
• Keep the truck and workspace clean and organized.
• Conduct loading and unloading safely, using proper techniques and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
