The Division of Child and Family Services is recruiting for a DRIVER in our Fallon Child Welfare office. This position requires a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment and the ability to properly install car seats/boosters for all ages and sizes of children. The transport duties may include parents, youth, small children, drug-affected infants, and social workers, or entire families. Transports can be to various appointments, ranging from 20 minutes to all day, depending on location, waiting time, and return transport. Common transports include parent/child and/or sibling visitation, cross-rural region transports for placement changes, school/preschool to daycare, families to medical appointments, resource centers, court hearings, counseling or evaluations, Social Security, Welfare, educational plan meetings, parents to drug testing, meetings with attorneys, court appearances, or courier services for supplies, equipment, mail, reports, legal documents, and other items. Other duties involve maintaining a spreadsheet for fleet vehicle maintenance, mileage, and passenger data for reports. The role also provides administrative support, including answering phones, staffing the information desk, assisting visitors, and providing public assistance with directions, questions, rules, referrals, and forms.
