The Division of Child and Family Services is recruiting for a DRIVER in Winnemucca for Child Welfare offices. This position requires a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment and the ability to properly install car seats/boosters for all ages and sizes of children. The transport duties may include parents, youth, small children, drug-affected infants, social workers, or entire families to various appointments. These transports can range from short trips to all-day excursions depending on the appointment location, waiting time, and return journey. Common transports are for parent/child and/or sibling visitation, placement changes across rural regions, school to daycare transfers, medical appointments, resource center visits, court hearings, counseling or evaluations, Social Security, Welfare, educational plan meetings, drug testing, meetings with attorneys, court appearances, or courier services for supplies, equipment, mail, reports, legal documents, and other required items. Additional duties include maintaining a spreadsheet for fleet vehicle maintenance, mileage, and passenger data for reports. The role also provides administrative support with routine duties, answering telephones, staffing the information desk, assisting the public with directions, questions, rule explanations, referrals, and providing necessary forms.
