About The Position

Spring Arbor Living is hiring a full-time Driver / Resident Transportation Assistant for its senior living community in Williamsburg, Virginia. The primary responsibility is safely transporting residents to appointments, shopping trips, errands, outings, and community events. When transportation is not scheduled, the employee will assist with light maintenance tasks and provide occasional support to the Activities team. The role involves helping residents stay active, connected, and independent and serving as a friendly, dependable presence in their daily lives.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Friendly, patient, dependable, and safety-conscious.
Comfortable assisting residents with mobility needs.
Must meet applicable background screening and company Drug-Free Workplace requirements.

Nice To Haves

Previous driving or transportation experience preferred.
Experience working with seniors is a plus.

Responsibilities

Safely transport residents to medical appointments, shopping, errands, community outings, and events.
Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle safely.
Help residents with walkers, bags, and personal belongings as needed.
Keep the community vehicle clean, safe, and comfortable.
Perform routine vehicle safety checks and report concerns.
Help coordinate daily transportation schedules.
Provide friendly, dependable service to residents.
Set up furniture and equipment for events when transportation is not scheduled.
Assist with resident activities, outings, and special events.
Support the Lifestyle Director and Activities team as needed.
Help with light maintenance tasks when transportation is not scheduled.
