About The Position

Saia is a logistics and transportation company committed to its people, customers, and community. This role is for a Temporary Driver Recruiter to support high-volume driver hiring needs across the network. The recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified non-union drivers, ensuring alignment with company standards, safety requirements, and operational needs. The position involves full-cycle recruiting with a focus on speed, quality, and candidate experience.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in driver, transportation, logistics, or high-volume recruiting
  • Experience recruiting CDL/Class A drivers strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and driver qualification standards preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and candidate screening skills
  • Experience using an ATS and recruiting tools
  • Comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for CDL/Class A drivers and related driving roles
  • Source candidates through job boards, referrals, ATS, social media, and direct outreach
  • Conduct phone screens to assess qualifications, experience, and driver history
  • Ensure all candidates meet non-union hiring requirements and company eligibility standards
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate with hiring managers and operations teams
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Meet weekly hiring targets and maintain pipeline activity for open requisitions
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company hiring standards
  • Provide a strong candidate experience from application through onboarding
