About The Position

Responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks as called out by the owner’s manual, inspecting machines and documenting potential repairs on work orders, and performing pre-delivery inspections to prepare equipment for customer delivery. Operates vehicles to transport equipment for the dealership and may instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures. The role may require direction or guidance from the Service Manager, Service Location Manager, Shop Foreman, or senior technicians.

Requirements

Experience operating vehicles, tools, and equipment used in routine machinery maintenance.
Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in off-road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment.
Experience with basic computer functions.
Experience working cooperatively in a team environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

Experience using Service ADVISOR™ or other computer-based diagnostic repair tools.

Responsibilities

Inspect machines during routine maintenance to identify additional repairs and note them on work orders.
Thoroughly document diagnostics and repairs on work orders and submit information on time.
May participate in required Service EDUCATE Training programs to develop skills and knowledge.
Operate and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment required for the job.
Maintain a clean work area and perform work neatly and orderly.
Follow safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments.
Transport equipment to and from customers and between dealer facilities.
Maintain pickup and delivery records and obtain necessary signatures and receipts.
Account for time and distance traveled while performing assigned duties.
May maintain assigned trucks and related equipment in good condition.
Perform pre-delivery inspections and prepare equipment for customer delivery.
May instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures.
