About The Position

The Driver/Operator’s primary purpose is to ensure that vehicles and equipment are driven and operated safely and in compliance with applicable requirements. The role also leads crews to complete customer projects and works with Field Technicians on cleanups, spills, COVID-related work, and hazardous-material decontamination.

Requirements

• Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) or higher.
• Hazardous-material and tanker endorsements.

Nice To Haves

• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) clearance or other certification, as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment with a gross vehicle weight over 26,000 pounds, including roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, liquid vacuums, turbo vacuums, sewer cleaners, and box trucks.
• Prioritize health and safety by following safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting safely at all times.
• Work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays; participate in the rotating on-call schedule for emergency response.
• Travel out of town as project and service-center needs require.
• Complete required route and productivity sheets, electronic vehicle logs (ELDs), and other reports.
• Conduct complete pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections in accordance with company policy, checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls.
• Report safety issues using standard reports.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
• Lead crews in completing customer projects and work with Field Technicians on cleanups, spills, COVID-related work, and hazardous-material decontamination.
