About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in West Chester, OH— offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. This position offers a weekly pay of $1000 or more, with 40+ hours per week. The schedule is Monday – Friday, with no weekends, and a start time between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM. The route is local, allowing drivers to be home daily. Trucks are box trucks (16', 22', & 26') and drivers will use a Pallet Jack, Lift Gate & Hand Truck. Freight is touch freight – Auto Parts. Ryder drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations. Ryder provides paid training on all equipment needed for success. Drivers are empowered to make safety decisions, and their jobs are protected. Ryder also offers a referral bonus program of up to $1,500 for every hired driver.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck): 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
• Candidates who possess a valid Commercial Drivers License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including but not limited to, pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.

Responsibilities

• Safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
