About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Orlando, FL — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. You might be wondering what your paycheck will look like. $860 or more per week - And it gets better Driver Positions Pay Weekly Hourly Pay: $20.00 Per Hour Hours Per Week: 42 + hours per week Paid Training Schedule: Monday – Friday Start Time: 5:00 AM Deliver SOLO To: FL; Within a 150 mile radius Route: Home Daily Tractor Type: Stake Bed or 26' Straight Truck Equipment: Lift Gate and Pallet Jack Forklift certification preferred Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful Freight: Touch – Electrical Products Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide. Ryder will purchase your truck and support you every step of the way, so you can focus on driving—not the details. Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck): 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
  • Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Other tasks as assigned
