About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in West Chester, OH— offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. This position offers a weekly pay of $1000 or more, with 40+ hours per week. The role involves solo miles paid at $0.37 per mile with an average of 1600 miles per week, and solo stops paid at $13.00 per dealership stop (20 stops/week) and $20.00 per warehouse stop (7 stops/week). Paid training is provided. The schedule is Monday – Friday, with no weekends, and a start time between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM. The route is local, home daily, delivering SOLO to OH, KY, IN, and WV. The truck type is a Box Truck (16', 22' & 26') equipped with a Pallet Jack, Lift Gate & Hand Truck. Ryder will train you on all necessary equipment. Freight is touch freight – Auto Parts. Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance, and company drivers fuel up at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide. Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck): 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

  • Safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Other tasks as assigned
