About The Position

Ryder is hiring a NON-CDL Truck Driver in Carson, CA — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. This position offers a weekly pay of $1092, with an hourly rate of $23.00 for 40-50 hours per week. The schedule is Monday - Saturday, with Sunday and one day during the week off, and a start time between 4:00 AM - 6:00 AM. Drivers will deliver SOLO to Southern California, operating a Box Truck 26' with a Manual Pallet Jack and Lift Gate. The freight involves touch freight for perishable foods. Trucks are 36 months or newer and include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance. Ryder provides Medical, Dental & Vision after 30 days, 80 hours of PTO your first year, uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance, and a 401(k) with company match. Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck): 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
• Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

• Safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
