About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Non-CDL Truck Driver in Fort Myers, FL — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. This position offers $860 or more per week, with paychecks issued weekly. The role involves local deliveries within a 170-mile radius of FL, operating a Stake Truck & Box Truck with a 20' and 24' Stake Bed or Box Trailer. Freight is touch freight, consisting of electrical supplies. Drivers will be trained on all necessary equipment, including a manual pallet jack and forklift. Ryder emphasizes that drivers are the 'Captain' and their safety decisions are protected.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck): 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

• Safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
