About The Position

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (Minimum Class E) appropriate for the vehicle class operated.
• Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy millwork materials safely. Frequently 75 lbs and up.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety inspections.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Safe vehicle operation, which ensures timely and damage-free deliveries.
• Effective communication skills to provide excellent customer service and coordinate with warehouse staff.
• Physical stamina and proper lifting techniques are essential for handling heavy millwork products safely during loading and unloading.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety inspections helps maintain compliance with regulations and prevents breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver millwork products to residential and commercial customers within assigned routes.
• Load and unload millwork materials carefully to prevent damage, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Verify delivery orders and obtain customer signatures to confirm receipt of products.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and report any vehicle issues or incidents promptly.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service, addressing questions or concerns during deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate loading schedules and product availability.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies while operating vehicles.
• Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
