About The Position

Paul Transportation is looking for a motivated Driver Manager to lead and support a fleet of professional flatbed drivers. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and helping others succeed, this could be the career you've been looking for. As a Driver Manager, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for your drivers, balancing customer needs, operational priorities, and driver support to keep freight moving safely and efficiently. This is an opportunity to join a growing company where your contributions are recognized, your performance is rewarded, and you're empowered to make a real impact.

Requirements

  • Backgrounds in transportation, dispatch, logistics, account management, customer service, retail management, operations, or similar leadership roles are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.
  • A positive, team-oriented mindset with a passion for building relationships and helping others succeed.
  • Ability to work a Monday–Friday schedule with a start time before 8:00 AM and participate in an after-hours/weekend on-call rotation.

Nice To Haves

  • Transportation, dispatch, or trucking experience is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), or flatbed operations is a plus, but we'll help the right candidate learn the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned fleet of professional flatbed drivers, providing daily support, guidance, and problem resolution.
  • Coordinate freight assignments and driver schedules to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries while maximizing fleet productivity.
  • Build strong working relationships with drivers through consistent communication, coaching, and proactive support to promote retention and performance.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS) requirements, and company policies.
  • Coordinate driver home time, equipment needs, maintenance concerns, and other operational priorities to keep drivers successful on the road.
  • Work closely with customers, operations, and internal departments to quickly resolve issues and maintain exceptional service.
  • Analyze fleet performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue, fuel economy, driver satisfaction, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Participate in a rotating after-hours and weekend on-call schedule to support drivers and address operational needs as they arise.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary of $50,000–$55,000 per year, with opportunities to grow your earnings.
  • Biweekly performance incentive program with additional earning potential based on the performance of your assigned fleet, including revenue, driver retention, fuel economy, service levels, and other key operational metrics.
  • 401(k) with company match to help you invest in your future and build long-term financial security.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance to support you and your family's well-being.
  • Paid time off so you can relax, recharge, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
  • Flexible scheduling to help accommodate the demands of both your career and personal life.
  • Onsite gym access so you can conveniently prioritize your health and wellness before, during, or after work.
