About The Position

Swift Transportation is hiring a Driver Leader 2 to lead and manage a fleet of 10 or more drivers. The role focuses on maximizing fleet productivity and profitability, developing drivers, meeting home-time expectations, and proactively managing safety performance. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Compensation is $55,000–$60,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Swift Transportation is a truckload carrier with locations throughout the nation. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in Operations, Planning, and/or Customer Accounts.
Ability to lead others.
Exceptional communication skills.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to work in high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment.
Associate degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Must be authorized to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor employment visas.

Responsibilities

Lead a fleet of 10 or more drivers and manage driver availability to maximize fleet productivity.
Routinely review the profit and loss (P/L) for the assigned area and identify ways to maximize profitability.
Develop high-performing drivers through daily interactions, coaching, and positive reinforcement.
Meet driver home-time expectations by actively managing expectations and keeping commitments.
Maximize P/L for all assigned tractors and trailers.
Proactively manage safety performance to achieve targets for insurance and claims costs as a percentage of revenue.
