About The Position
The Driver Helper works alongside delivery drivers to deliver Anheuser-Busch products to local accounts. The role follows an itinerary, supports customer deliveries, handles product and payments, completes delivery documentation, and may also perform warehouse duties. Account types and delivery routes may change based on daily needs. Candidates may participate in the company's internal, paid CDL-A training program, with the potential to move into a full-time role based on performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
- Be able to lift, load, unload, and move products weighing up to 165 pounds and fulfill all physical requirements of the job.
- Be able to work in a wide range of temperatures, from 36° to the outside temperature.
- Be able and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and/or holidays.
- Desire to obtain a CDL-A license.
Responsibilities
- Follow an outlined itinerary and work as part of a team whose account types and delivery routes may change based on daily needs.
- Collect payments from accounts as needed.
- Lift, stack, and transport cases and kegs of beer of varying weights to accounts.
- Complete and submit required paperwork, invoices, display forms, load sheets, and cash or checks within appropriate time frames.
- Accurately complete Department of Transportation checklists and promptly report maintenance problems and accidents.
- Manually load and unload product from a side-loader truck.
- Collect payment for product as required.
- Perform warehouse duties as needed.
