About The Position

The Driver Helper assists the truck driver with loading, unloading, securing, and delivering merchandise. The role is supervised by and accountable to the Transportation Manager. It is non-exempt under the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked over 40 in a work week. The position works outside and requires the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Load and unload product or merchandise by hand or using a hand truck.
• Stack and secure items on the truck to prevent damage during shipment.
• Deliver and stack merchandise on customers’ premises according to their requests.
• Assist drivers with directions or other needs.
• Follow company policies and procedures, with particular attention to safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
