About The Position

Assist the truck driver with loading and delivering materials. Help customers in the warehouse according to established company procedures, including ensuring customers have the proper copies of sales invoices before receiving materials, loading and unloading warehouse materials, and receiving returned merchandise. Perform other duties assigned by the Dispatcher, Yard Foreman, Assistant General Manager, General Manager of Building Materials, or management.

Requirements

• Ability to do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions, and complete forms.
• Ability to communicate with customers, other employees, and supervisors verbally, in writing, or through other skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to use safe lifting techniques.
• Knowledge of materials and products.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds to a height of 6 feet.
• Ability to carry 100 pounds over a distance exceeding 12 feet.
• Ability to push 100 pounds in a wheeled cart.
• Ability to bend, stoop, or squat to floor level repetitively.
• Ability to reach overhead to grasp materials.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED desired.
• Three months of experience preferred but not required.
