About The Position

The Driver Coordinator is the main point of contact between the backbone of the transportation industry (our AZ Drivers) and the organization. This role is responsible for effectively coordinating a group of drivers to success through continual communication from the shipment pick-up to delivery and ensuring the appropriate internal departments (i.e. Customer Service, Breakdown, Customs) are aware of any updates. Responsibilities

Planning trucks effectively to reduce empty miles; managing the empty miles ratios
Dispatches trucks on planned loads; tracks dispatched trucks on a daily basis to ensure on-time performance
Works with Driver Coordinators to achieve driver needs and goals
Implement efficient equipment utilization
Monitors and maintains customer trailer pools
Responds to and resolving driver inquiries in a professional and respectful manner.
Assists Customer Service Department with any customer inquiries regarding the shipment.
Ensures the dispatch plan is executed effectively and collaborates with our Planners on redesign.
Participates in driver retention initiatives including data collection, root cause analysis and mediation.
Ensures integrity of data in our system including ETAs, driver availability, projected late shipments, etc.
Performs other duties as required
