About The Position

Capital Paving and Construction is seeking an experienced CDL Driver to support our commercial paving operations. This position is responsible for operating CDL‑required vehicles and equipment, transporting materials to and from job sites, and assisting the paving crew as needed.

Requirements

Valid CDL driver’s license, tanker and hazmat endorsements preferred
Excellent communication skills to interact at all levels.
General knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment
Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
Must be able to work as a team on all projects
Lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions
Work overtime, nights, weekends, as needed
Stand for extended periods of time
Reliable transportation
Willing to travel/work out of town
Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check

Responsibilities

Safely transport asphalt, aggregate, equipment, and materials to and from job site
Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations
Coordinate with paving crew, foremen, and plant personnel to ensure efficient operations
Assist with loading, unloading, and job site setup/cleanup as needed
Perform basic vehicle maintenance and promptly report mechanical issues
Adhere to project schedules and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
Other duties as assigned.
