Driver Class B
About The Position
Clean Harbors is seeking a Class B CDL Driver in Cincinnati, Ohio, to operate light- and heavy-duty trucks and equipment at customer sites. Vehicles may include vacuum trailers, roll-off trailers, van trailers, box trucks, and high-powered vacuum loaders. The role includes driving and non-driving duties on and off customer sites related to hazardous-waste cleanup. Drivers may assist field laborers and, depending on the position, perform site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous-material handling. Some positions require rotating emergency-response on-call duty every other week.
Requirements
- Valid Class B commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to use various mobile devices.
- Ability to perform physical functions required by the job.
- Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, depending on the position.
- Employees in positions requiring respirators must meet facial-hair standards under OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard, 29 CFR 1910.34.

Responsibilities
- Follow safe work practices, policies, and processes, keeping health and safety the top priority.
- Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed.
- Operate a variety of Class B trucks and equipment.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Ensure customer satisfaction at the time of service.
- Properly placard vehicles according to company and Department of Transportation requirements and regulations.
- Maintain daily logs, timesheets, and other reports.
- Follow local, state, provincial, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
- Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT and applicable local, state, provincial, and federal requirements.
- Follow corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
- Follow company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Depending on the position, participate in rotating emergency-response on-call duty every other week.
- Depending on the position, perform site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous-material handling.
