About The Position

Wismettac is seeking a professional, safety-minded CDL Driver to represent the company. This role involves more than just moving freight; it's about building relationships and ensuring high-quality products are delivered to customers safely and on time. The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, and involves over-the-road driving with occasional interstate and out-of-state deliveries (usually 2–4 days) requiring overnights at a hotel. Drivers are eligible for a quarterly incentive and a $50 per day per diem for overnights. The job offers a blend of driving and physical activity and opportunities for professional growth in FSMA food safety standards and logistics technology.

Requirements

• Valid CDL with a solid driving record
• Ability to handle strenuous physical work, including lifting, pulling, pushing 50+ lbs and maneuvering in/out of the cab
• Knowledge of DOT regulations
• A "safety-first" attitude
• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, or occasional weekends to beat the traffic and meet customer needs
• Comfortable using tablets for E-logs and reporting

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty delivery trucks (avg 26,000 lbs)
• Manage established routes and provide top-tier service to clients
• Navigate routes safely in various weather and traffic conditions
• Deliver products and maintain positive client relationships
• Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections
• Maintain electronic logs (E-logs)
• Load and unload merchandise (up to 50 lbs)
• Assist in warehouse operation when needed
