About The Position

Central Valley is a family-owned and operated building supply company with eight locations throughout Northern California. The company has been in business since 1955 and supplies building and agricultural products. It is seeking a Class B Delivery Driver for its Napa facility. The driver ensures timely delivery of goods, reviews orders before delivery, loads and unloads trucks, and provides customer service. The role includes forklift use and handling building materials, with a focus on safe and accurate delivery.

Requirements

Must be at least 25 years of age.
Class B driver's license required.
At least one year of experience tying down lumber and other building products, including flatbed experience.
At least two years of verifiable driving experience.
Driving record may not exceed one point.
Forklift experience required.
Experience driving a manual transmission truck required.

Nice To Haves

Experience driving in both rural and urban environments is highly desired.

Responsibilities

Deliver merchandise to customers.
Count outgoing products and check their condition before loading them onto the truck.
Contact customers to confirm delivery instructions.
Deliver orders undamaged to the correct jobsite and assist with unloading when necessary, following the proper unloading sequence.
Ensure loads are properly secured and flagged when necessary.
Greet customers in a friendly manner upon delivery.
Assist with building loads, staging materials, and loading trucks, including using a forklift.
Ensure the correct materials are delivered.
Photograph deliveries and/or obtain a customer signature when available.
Provide customers with a receipt of delivery.
Follow safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE and following company vehicle driving guidelines.
