About The Position

Core & Main is seeking a Driver-CDL A to deliver products to customers in the local community. The driver serves as the primary company contact at delivery locations, provides customer service, and helps ensure products and delivery documentation are accurate. The role also includes loading and unloading the truck and assisting warehouse staff with order preparation and incoming materials when needed. The position is suited to a safety-conscious, flexible driver who can adapt to changing delivery priorities and represent the company professionally.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Class A or Class B driving experience.
• High standard of driving safety.
• Flexibility to adjust to changing customer and delivery priorities.
• Ability to load and unload products.
• Ability to assist in the warehouse as needed.
• Customer-facing communication and relationship-building ability.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of flatbed driving experience.
• Forklift experience.
• 2 or more years of delivery experience.
• Prior experience loading and unloading products and making job-site deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers, including assisting with unloading and ensuring the delivery ticket accompanies the material.
• Serve as the primary interface with customers at delivery locations and contact customers when they are not present.
• Load the truck with daily deliveries and unload products at customer sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage before and after routes.
• Fuel the truck as needed.
• Resolve customer service issues.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation standards and regulations.
• Maintain vehicle logs, bills of lading, and other records according to guidelines.
• Plan routes and adjust them for traffic or construction.
• Ensure delivery manifests are complete and accurate.
• Assist warehouse staff with pulling and preparing orders for shipment and receiving, verifying, staging, and stocking incoming material.
