About The Position

Tarina of Kingwood, an Assisted Living and Memory Care community operated by Saga Senior Living, is hiring a Driver/Activities Assistant. The role combines transporting residents safely to appointments and outings with helping residents remain active and socially connected through daily activities. The schedule is part-time, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with weekend and holiday availability required. Pay is $15 per hour.

Requirements

At least 25 years old.
Valid, active driver's license and an acceptable Texas driving record.
Ability to meet the community’s vehicle operation and insurance requirements.
Weekend and holiday availability.
Ability to safely assist residents with mobility needs.
Willingness to complete and maintain CPR, First Aid, transportation, and dementia-care training.
Fluent English.
Must be able to produce a negative drug test; applicants may be subject to a background check.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with seniors, especially in Assisted Living or Memory Care.

Responsibilities

Safely drive residents to medical appointments, shopping trips, restaurants, outings, and special events.
Help residents enter and exit the vehicle and secure wheelchairs, walkers, and seat belts according to safety procedures.
Maintain transportation schedules and trip records, complete vehicle safety checks, and keep the vehicle clean and ready.
Lead and assist with games, exercise, music, arts and crafts, and social programs from the activity calendar.
Engage Assisted Living and Memory Care residents in sensory, reminiscence, and simple cognitive activities, as well as one-on-one visits.
Set up activity spaces and help decorate for holidays, birthdays, and community celebrations.
Record activity attendance in LifeLoop and share resident updates or concerns with the Activities Director.
