About The Position

Aegis Living Corte Madera is seeking an energetic, compassionate, and creative Activities Assistant / Driver to help create memorable experiences for residents and families. The position supports resident enrichment activities and community events, and also transports residents and runs errands for the community. When not driving, the employee reports to the community for assigned tasks, including assisting with resident activities and light maintenance. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday. The listed pay range is $20.00–$24.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Caring and compassionate attitude.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to use computers, TVs, apps, and other electronic devices.
• Must be at least 25 years old to transport residents and run community errands.
• Must pass a 7-panel drug test that includes marijuana.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Any specialized licenses required to operate multi-passenger vehicles, or the willingness and capability to acquire them.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with seniors in assisted living or a related field is preferred.
• Musical background, art background, or experience in event planning for seniors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, facilitate, and conduct activities for residents alongside the Life Enrichment Director(s).
• Assist with coordinating community-wide events, including themed parties, holiday celebrations, and hosted speakers.
• Create new and innovative enrichment programs and activities while maintaining high-quality standards for residents.
• Participate in activities such as painting and pottery, lunch outings, shopping trips, sporting events, card games, exercise, puzzles, games, and movies.
• Maintain a professional and caring attitude toward residents.
• Inspect vehicles and keep them properly fueled and clean.
• Transport residents and run errands for the community.
• When not driving, complete other assigned community tasks, including assisting with resident activities and light maintenance.
