About The Position

The Driller Helper supports drilling and field testing operations, including standard penetrometer testing, borings, and geoprobes. The role involves locating borings, recording drilling data, maintaining and cleaning drilling equipment and company vehicles, and helping ensure safe, accurate field work. The position may require out-of-town work and non-standard schedules when needed.

Requirements

0–3 years of experience.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform standard penetrometer testing operations, including borings and geoprobes.
Locate borings in the field.
Record required drilling data.
Report project-specific issues to the project manager and/or supervisor.
Perform drill rig and support truck maintenance and report repair or maintenance issues to the drilling supervisor.
Follow company safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for all crew personnel.
Safely and accurately load the drill rig and support vehicle with supplies each day.
Complete time sheets and field paperwork promptly and accurately.
Care for and clean assigned company vehicles, drilling equipment, and other assigned equipment.
Maintain professional behavior and quality standards.
Work out of town and on non-standard schedules when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
