The Construction Driller Helper assists a crew chief with geotechnical and environmental subsurface investigations. The position involves handling drill tooling, driving support vehicles, and helping monitor safety on job sites. Work is generally full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional early starts and varying end times based on job location, project size, and deadlines. Weekend work is not uncommon, though it is limited when possible. Travel is typically within 300 miles, and overnight stays are common for trips more than 50–60 miles away. Most projects last one to two days, while some may last several weeks and take place more than 300 miles from the operation base. Per diem is paid for project-related overnight stays.
