The Construction Driller Helper assists a crew chief with geotechnical and environmental subsurface investigations. The role involves handling drill tooling, driving support vehicles, and helping monitor safety at job sites. Work is generally full time, Monday through Friday, with occasional early starts depending on project location and site requirements. End times vary with project size, location, and deadlines; weekend work is not uncommon but is limited when possible. Travel is typically within 300 miles, and overnight stays are common for trips more than 50–60 miles away. Most projects last one to two days, though some may continue for several weeks and take place more than 300 miles from the operation base. Per diem is paid for project-related overnight stays.
