About The Position

Entry-level position requiring minimal training. Tasks are generally repetitive and include press operations and other manual tasks by hand, depending on the assigned area. The operator produces quality parts while meeting productivity standards, inspects products, reports production or quality issues, maintains accurate production records, and keeps the work area orderly in accordance with 6S standards. The role also includes rotating among machines and work areas for cross-training and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be familiar with OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 10 hours per day, with rotation possible.
• Physical ability to bend or twist the neck for up to 2 hours per day intermittently.
• Physical ability to bend or twist the waist for up to 2 hours per day intermittently.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive hand movements for up to 10 hours per day.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive arm movements for up to 10 hours per day.
• Physical ability to push or pull weight with assistance for up to 2 hours per day intermittently.
• Physical ability to lift up to 45 pounds for up to 2 hours per day intermittently.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work safely by following company and OSHA safety rules and regulations, understanding machine safeguards, recognizing and reporting safety hazards, and wearing required PPE.
• Perform press operations and other manual tasks according to verbal work instructions to produce quality parts while maintaining productivity standards.
• Inspect products for quality using go/no-go gauges and/or visual inspections.
• Inform supervision of production or quality problems.
• Maintain the minimum standard rate.
• Accurately report production-part counts, scrap, and labor hours by completing required paperwork.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly in compliance with established 6S standards.
• Cross-train by rotating to different machines and work areas as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
