About The Position

This is an entry-level position requiring minimal training. Tasks are generally repetitive and include press operations and other manual tasks, depending on the assigned area. The operator follows verbal work instructions to produce quality parts while maintaining productivity standards, inspects products, reports production or quality issues, and keeps the work area orderly. The position involves rotating among machines and work areas as needed.

Requirements

• Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
• Ability to work well with others.

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work safely by following company and OSHA safety rules and regulations, understanding machine safeguards, recognizing and reporting safety hazards, and wearing required PPE.
• Perform press operations and other manual tasks according to verbal work instructions while meeting quality and productivity standards.
• Inspect products for quality using go/no-go gauges and/or visual inspections.
• Inform supervision of production or quality problems.
• Maintain the minimum standard rate.
• Accurately report production-part counts, scrap, and labor hours using required paperwork.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly in compliance with established 6S standards.
• Cross-train by rotating to different machines and work areas as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
