About The Position

Inspired Education is a global group of premium schools dedicated to providing a world-class learning experience. King's College Panama, established in 2012 and part of the Inspired Education Group since 2019, is a British Curriculum school located on a new campus in Clayton's rainforest. The school teaches over 500 students from more than 50 nationalities, following both the British and IB curricula. We are seeking an exceptional Performing Arts teacher with a passion for education, dedication, creativity, and outstanding experience. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons that build confidence, creativity, collaboration, and communication skills, while fostering a love for drama and theatre. Experience within an international or American/British curriculum environment is desirable, as is a passion for supporting productions, performances, and extracurricular activities.

  • In-depth expertise in and passion for their subject and the ability to inspire students and support outstanding progress.
  • Expertise in assessing student progress, providing targeted feedback, and enhancing student performance, including in external assessments.
  • Experience in providing pastoral care and promoting student wellbeing, with a strong focus on individual attention and high standards of welfare.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both collaboratively with colleagues and independently.
  • A track record of establishing strong, positive relationships with families.
  • A commitment to their own continuous professional development.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, able to plan and prioritise a varied workload, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
  • PGCE, QTS, or equivalent, with excellent academic credentials and, ideally, evidence of post-graduate study.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a positive, flexible, and resourceful approach to working in a dynamic school environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver lessons that inspire and challenge all students in line with the school's curriculum, policies, and external assessment requirements.
  • Individualize and differentiate learning to ensure each student is stretched, supported, and makes outstanding progress.
  • Regularly assess students' in-class and at-home learning, providing targeted feedback to drive progress.
  • Establish a classroom and school environment where students are invested in each other's flourishing, feel valued and supported, and are ready to take risks in their learning.
  • Work closely with colleagues as an active member of the learning community, sharing best practices and collaborating.
  • Dedicate yourself to your own professional development to ensure the highest standard of education.
  • Play an active role in the school's co-curricular programme, helping to create a well-rounded, enriching educational experience.
  • Lead clubs and contribute to whole school initiatives.
  • Maintain open and constructive communication with parents, building strong partnerships that support students' progress.
