About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Drains and Sewer Installer to join our team in Sacramento, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing and maintaining drainage and sewer systems, including pipes, valves, and underground infrastructure. This role requires expertise in trenching, laying pipe, and ensuring all installations meet safety and code requirements while delivering high-quality workmanship while providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in drain cleaning, sewer line repairs, and diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of domestic water piping including copper install and soldering techniques, PEX piping and installation, installation of waste piping including ABS, cast iron and PVC piping.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in tight spaces when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain drainage equipment used in sewer systems, such as pipes, valves, and fittings.
  • Ensure the proper installation of drainage systems, including trench work, backfilling, and underground piping.
  • Assist in repairing various plumbing systems or components, including toilets, sinks, vents, faucets, water softeners, garbage disposals, sewer lines, vacuum breakers, and hot water heaters.
  • Install systems of pipes, drains, fittings, valves, and fixtures designed for potable water distribution, heating, washing, and waste removal.
  • Perform trenchless sewer replacements, including pipe bursting and lining techniques.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of plumbing systems to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with local codes.
  • Operate heavy equipment, power tools, and trenching machinery for excavation and installation.
  • Work with local agencies to ensure proper permits and inspections are completed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the needs of the company.
