About The Position

Under the supervision of the Deputy Drain Commissioner/Engineer, this role involves preparing drainage district maps using ArcGIS software and property descriptions for various meetings and the county website. The position also requires researching and preparing documentation for recording affidavits of old Release of Right of Way documents, preparing road calculations for approving authorities, updating drainage district maps as directed by engineering firms, assisting the Assessment Clerk with map verification against assessment rolls, and preparing history sheets for meetings. Field work or meeting attendance may be required as directed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an associate’s degree or equivalent with GIS certification/coursework.
  • Two years of experience in computer mapping OR three years of experience in the drain assessment clerk position.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Research and prepare documentation needed to record affidavits for old Release of Right of Way documents.

  • Assist the Assessment Clerk in checking drainage district maps against assessment rolls.
  • Prepare history sheets as needed for Board of Determination meetings.
  • Attend meetings or perform field work as directed.
