About The Position
Levine & Sons is hiring an experienced Drain/Sewer Technician to provide residential drain and sewer services in Southfield, Michigan. The technician diagnoses and clears clogged drains and sewer lines, troubleshoots drainage issues, performs sewer line inspections, and explains findings and recommended solutions to homeowners. The role involves using drain-cleaning tools and equipment, maintaining a company vehicle and equipment, documenting work, following safety procedures, and coordinating with dispatch and other team members to provide dependable customer service.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of drain-cleaning experience.
- Experience using drain-cleaning equipment and tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to diagnose drainage issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Comfort working directly with homeowners and explaining service needs.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Reliability, motivation, and ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Pride in quality workmanship and commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and clear clogged drains and sewer lines in residential homes.
- Perform drain cleaning with appropriate tools and equipment, including drain machines and cable machines.
- Troubleshoot drainage issues and identify the source of blockages.
- Perform sewer line inspections and assist in identifying potential problems.
- Clearly explain findings and recommended solutions to homeowners.
- Provide professional, friendly customer service on every call.
- Keep tools, equipment, and the company vehicle clean and organized.
- Complete service documentation and job notes accurately.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
- Work with dispatch and other team members to provide a positive customer experience.
