About The Position

As a Draftsman, you will transform conceptual designs and engineering ideas into detailed technical drawings and plans that guide construction and manufacturing processes. You will ensure designs are accurately represented, comply with industry standards, and are ready for implementation by engineers, architects, and construction teams. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to interpret specifications and incorporate feedback into precise drawings. The role requires attention to detail and proficiency in drafting software to produce clear, comprehensive documentation that supports successful project execution.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical drafting program or an associate degree in drafting, design technology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar drafting tools.
• Strong understanding of technical drawing standards, symbols, and conventions.
• Basic knowledge of engineering or architectural principles relevant to the projects.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret technical specifications accurately.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a construction, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and processes.
• Certification from recognized drafting or design organizations, such as Certified Drafter or similar.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and construction methods.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings and plans based on sketches, specifications, and verbal instructions from engineers and architects.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop, modify, and optimize drawings for architectural, mechanical, and civil engineering projects.
• Review and revise drawings to ensure accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and alignment with project requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to clarify design details, resolve discrepancies, and incorporate changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation to support efficient workflow and project tracking.
