About The Position

WireCrafters, LLC is a privately owned manufacturer of wire partitions, storage lockers, safety barriers, and related material handling products. The Drafting Associate creates production drawings and job specifications needed to fabricate and produce woven wire products. This is an onsite office position with no remote work available. The work is performed at a steady pace with daily productivity goals, independently or with coworkers. Workdays are eight hours, five days per week, with mandatory overtime depending on the operation schedule. Starting pay depends on experience. Associates receive regular quarterly raises beginning at three months until reaching the current top rate of $33.99, followed by annual cost-of-living raises. Benefits become available after 90 days.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least two years of drafting experience or an associate degree in CADD.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Ability to understand and design special products as needed.
Ability to understand blueprint details and translate them into functional production drawings and instructions.
Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Outlook/email.
Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to read a standard tape measure.
Strong math skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

Accurately interpret drawings and sketches provided by customers and Sales.
Create formal production drawings using the company's General Drafting Standards.
Audit and review drawings and installation instructions provided to customers.
Communicate timely feedback to the Engineering Manager about system and procedure failures and quality concerns.
