About The Position

The Toro Company is seeking a Drafter to join their team in Bloomington. As a Drafter, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining engineering documentation using CAD software. This includes individual component part models, assemblies, subassemblies, and their respective drawings. You will also modify detailed drawings of component parts and subassemblies.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of a school/employment or any other visa, regardless of expiration date, now or in the future.
  • Associate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Drafting, Drafting Design, Electronics and Electrical/Mechanical Technology required.
  • Drafter I: 0-2 years of experience with associate’s degree
  • Drafter II: 2+ years of experience with associate’s otherwise four (4) plus years related experience.
  • Basic understanding of industry drafting standards (ANSI)
  • Responsible for adhering to product Drafting Standards and Procedures
  • Understand the application of basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ability to technically communicate with Designers and Engineers.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree with engineering technology related disciplines preferred.
  • Experience with CAD software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and process engineering change requests utilizing engineering sketches and annotated drawings.
  • Specify and document dimensions, materials, and procedures.
  • Document parts by modeling simple 3D models, adding coordinate systems, and create detail drawings for manufacturing.
  • Create SAP Bill of Material reports.
  • Participate in quality initiatives and training as required.
