About The Position

The Product Center Engineering Support will be responsible for designing the components and creating the drawings for the manufacturing of downhole bits and tools. This role also involves the creation of bills of material (BOMs) for components, bits, and tools.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Previous experience with either Creo, Teamcenter and/or drill bits
• Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Customer Focus with good communication skills
• Good Presentation Skills
• Self-motivated, dependable, and punctual
• Sound Decision-making skills

Nice To Haves

• 2-4 years in related field is preferred
• Associates degree or technical training certificate preferred. Certificate in CAD Operator, Drafting Mechanical, Manufacturing or Product Design
• Familiarity with manufacturing preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing the components and creating the drawings for the manufacturing of downhole bits and tools within the Creo CAD software.
• Creation of bills of material (BOMs) for components, drill bits and drilling tools within the Teamcenter PLM system.
• Communicate with Engineering, manufacturing and ME departments through the various stages of projects.
• Hosting manufacturing review meetings and accurately compiling minutes from the meetings
• Support manufacturing with regards to design questions and improvements.
• Follow engineering guidelines for new component and part designs.
• Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures
