About The Position

A design firm specializing in residential and commercial design in Sherman Oaks is seeking an experienced Drafter and Expediter. The role involves drafting architectural plans, sections, elevations, and details, as well as going back and forth to the city. The employee will work with a project manager. The position is for California residents only and has hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD is required; the posting states this is a must with no exceptions.
• Ability to read and understand residential and commercial architectural and structural plans.
• Computer proficiency, including Outlook, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multitask, meet changing deadlines, and work well under pressure.
• Punctuality and ability to learn quickly.
• Must know rendering.
• Must be a California resident.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Revit.
• Knowledge of local residential and commercial building codes.
• Ability to use SketchUp.
