About The Position

Provide direction to Engineering Technicians in order to maintain and repair the casino and hotel facilities, building systems and equipment to the highest possible level of service. Monitor building operation and perform repairs to optimize the player experience and maximize the useful life of the assets. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical or equipment including, boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, piping systems, air handlers, balers, compactors and other components.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree (Technical) or Trade Diploma from an accredited educational institution required or four years mechanical maintenance experience performing PM’s, troubleshooting and repairs in a commercial, industrial or institutional facility on pumps, piping systems, air handlers, boilers, balers, etc. or military experience as AC/HVAC technician rank E-3 or higher required
  • Three years in the field of facility maintenance, preferably in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record
  • Must complete Super Lap---score of low/fail may result in a position bypass
  • Basic understanding of electrical distribution systems, three phase and single phase, up to 600 volts
  • Basic understanding of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, (HVAC), operation to include basic theory of operation and controls
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and diagrams
  • Ability to use technical manuals to diagnose and repair equipment
  • Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems
  • Maintain records of maintenance and repairs using computerized maintenance programs
  • Install new equipment and services
  • Assist in fabrication of systems and components
  • Weld, solder and braze, as required
  • Assist with maintenance, repairs and operation of the Casino and Hotel facilities, building systems and equipment
  • Abide by safety policies and report safety hazards to department manager
  • Endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
  • Perform and oversee preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems equipment
  • Perform and oversee structural modifications and repairs to all areas of the facility
  • Ensure a high level of maintenance and preservation is achieved throughout the facility
  • Prepare and maintains employee work schedules
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings
  • Understand the budgetary process and knowledge of inventory supply and control
  • Acknowledge and respond to internal and external customers immediately
  • Monitor work environment to detect and correct unsafe conditions and work practices
  • Interact with contractors and vendors to ensure quality of workmanship, competitive pricing, compliance with rules and policies and ability to meet deadlines
  • Communicate pertinent organizational information to fellow supervisors and subordinates
  • Prepare requests for supplies
  • Assure compliance with all applicable codes
  • Train subordinates, providing each with the knowledge, development and appropriate direction to perform his/her responsibilities
  • Exhibit sound decision-making with emphasis on motivating team and maintaining high morale
  • Provide continuous positive coaching for development of employees and appropriate correction action when necessary
  • Ensure timely and accurate performance appraisals and accurate work history entries
  • Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved in projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestions
  • Proactive with incidents and issues ensuring resolution with employees
  • Responsible for, or actively participates in, the initiation of personnel actions including but not limited to: interviews, training, candidate selection, terminations, performance reviews, promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions
