About The Position

The Downstream Technician is responsible for packaging, labeling, and visually inspecting products made on the assigned production line. The technician partners with the Line Operator to meet production goals and assists with line start-ups, shutdowns, tooling changes, and downstream equipment setup. The role requires flexibility to work 40 or more hours per week and weekends as required. It involves sustained physical work in fluctuating temperatures and an 8–12-hour shift.

• Be able to use hands, arms, and legs to handle and transport finished goods.
• Be flexible to work 40 or more hours per week and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct final visual inspections and label finished goods to ensure quality.
• Track the quantity of units produced on the production line to monitor efficiency.
• Package pipe according to standard operating procedures for customer delivery.
• Use personal protective equipment consistently and maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist with line tooling changes, start-ups, shutdowns, and downstream equipment setup.
• Learn and stay current on pipe specifications and packaging requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement, including production-line practices and facility housekeeping.
