About The Position

Valen USA is seeking a skilled Dovetail Operator to join its production team. The operator supports the manufacture of drawer components for office and contract furniture by operating dovetail machinery and ensuring parts meet customer specifications and the company’s standards for quality and efficiency. The role requires attention to detail, accurate production records, and collaboration with team members to uphold safety, quality, and productivity standards. Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to read a tape measure in millimeters and understand dimensional tolerancing.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to meet or exceed established parts-per-hour targets.
Excellent attendance and compliance with scheduled breaks and lunch periods.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to foster a positive, cooperative team environment.
Ability to stand for 100% of work time, bend forward and rotate side to side frequently, and lift and stack finished components as necessary.

Responsibilities

Operate dovetail machinery to machine drawer components for office and contract furniture according to established cycle times.
Load and unload parts into the machine, maintaining precision and accuracy.
Maintain accurate records of output and production rates, with a target of 100 to 150 cycles per hour.
Monitor machine performance and address issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Ensure machined parts meet or exceed customer specifications for squareness, dimensional tolerances, and appearance.
Collaborate with team members to uphold safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Perform other duties assigned by the production supervisor to support operational goals.
